The elephant hood is the part my daughter actually loves, she keeps it on way longer than a regular towel. It soaks up water fast and stays soft after a few washes. Bath time went from a fight to something she looks forward to.
The cotton poly blend is thicker than the thin hooded towels I've bought before, so it actually soaks up water instead of just pushing it around. My daughter loves grabbing the little elephant ears during drying and it's become her favorite part of bath time.
The elephant hood actually stays up on my daughter's head instead of flopping back like our old towel did. It's thin cotton but dries her off fine and she stays warm walking to the crib.
