The velvety square is way softer than I expected, and the little animal face on top is the part my son actually grabs. It's small enough that he can hold it himself in the car seat.

My daughter refuses to nap without it now, and honestly I get it—the animal face is so soft against her cheek and the square is just the right size for her to hug. It's already survived two wash cycles and still feels as plush as the day it arrived.

The velvety-soft square is genuinely silky to the touch, and the animal face is stitched on firmly enough that my teething baby hasn't managed to pull it loose. It's been through the wash three times now and still looks brand new, which is a win in my book.
